Decide on Focused Versus Comprehensive Initial Consultation
Option A: Comprehensive Initial Consultation (60 minutes)
$500Comprehensive Initial Consultation is designed to provide a thoughtful, thorough starting point for your care. Whether you're seeking clarity on a diagnosis, a second opinion, or expert guidance on managing a rheumatologic condition, this in-depth visit lays a strong foundation for your treatment journey.
This comprehensive evaluation includes:
- A detailed review of your medical history, including past medical records and test results prior to the appointment (up to 2 hours)
- A comprehensive history and complete physical exam
- Development of a tailored action plan after the visit
- Coordination of care with other physicians on your behalf
- Continued support after the visit (up to 15 days)
Option B: Focused Initial Consultation
$300For patients with a clear, specific concern, this visit offers a more streamlined path to answers. Whether you're following up on an abnormal lab like a positive Antinuclear Antibody (ANA), experiencing joint pain in one specific area, or seeking a second opinion on a single issue, this 30-minute appointment is designed to provide targeted, expert evaluation.
This focused consultation includes:
- A 30-minute visit with Dr. Koolaee, centered around one primary symptom or concern
- Review of relevant labs, imaging, or test results at the time of the visit
- A focused physical exam, as appropriate to your concern
- Initial impressions and recommendations for next steps — whether that means treatment, further testing, or a referral
Please note: This visit is not intended for patients with widespread or complex symptoms, multiple joint complaints, or long-standing autoimmune conditions. These concerns are best addressed through our Comprehensive Initial Consultation.
